Working Group on Nanomaterial Workers’ Health

At the ICOH midterm meeting in February 2011, a proposal was supported to develop a Working Group on Nanomaterial Workers’ Health. Members of ICOH who are interested in this topic and in developing a plan of action for the Working Group, ultimately leading the formation of a Scientific Committee, are requested to contact the organizers.

Successful inclusion of young workers into WHO Executive Board Child Injury Prevention Resolution!!!!!!!!

The joint statement of the ICOH, IEA and IOHA regarding inclusion of young workers in the WHO Child Injury Prevention draft resolution that was made at the May 2010 Executive Board meeting in Geneva was the initiation of efforts that resulted in success at the January 2011 meeting!

Message from the President

Dear ICOH Colleagues,

The various guidance documents produced through our ICOH activities are utilized as important references for assessing and controlling health and safety risks at work. Many of them result from ICOH Scientific Committees or international task forces in which ICOH members are involved as key experts. We all know we need to accelerate our joint work in this direction.
When I attended the meetings of some of our Scientific Committees held this year, I was pleased to note that concrete plans are envisioned for producing useful guidance documents by these SCs.
