ILO Master Fellowship in conjunction with ICOH 2015 Congress
In occasion of the 31st ICOH Congress a partial fellowship to attend the ILO Master in Occupational Safety and Health (International Training Centre of the ILO Turin School of Development, Turin, Italy) will be assigned for two ICOH candidates from developing countries who will present a scientific contribution to ICOH Congress 2015. The partial economic support will cover the residential and catering package on the campus of the International Training Centre of the ILO in Turin (ITC-ILO), Italy.
When submitting an abstract to ICOH 2015 Congress, participants interested in the ILO Master had the possibility to apply for the ILO Master Fellowship. Applicants complying with criteria set out (ICOH members from developing countries, in good standing by December 31, 2014; who have presented a scientific contribution to ICOH Congress 2015) will be contacted by ICOH Secretariat in order to ask for an extended CV and check if they have the requirements for admission to the programme (hold a first university degree (BA) of minimum three years duration, a working knowledge of spoken and written English, the ability and access to use computer and Internet). They will also be requested to submit a written statement duly signed where they declare that, in case of winning the fellowship, they commit themselves to attend the Master and they are aware they will receive a partial grant for a value of 4200 € to cover the residential and catering package on the campus of ITC/ILO. Therefore, the winner will have to self-fund or find other funding sources for the training costs, the transport from/to participant’s country of origin for the residential phase in Turin, and any other costs related to the participation in the Master course, which won’t anyway be funded by ICOH.
In order to assign the two partial fellowships during the ICOH Congress 2015, a Screening Committee will be appointed for evaluating the scientific contributions and an ad hoc Session with discussion will be organized.. Applicants will be informed in due time about session schedule and procedure, evaluation criteria, etc.
Please find enclosed the brochure of the course 2015-2016.
