For the first time since the first ICOH Congress, Rome is a candidate to host the 36th ICOH International Congress in 2030, offering the hospitality of a country with a long-standing and natural connection to the global occupational health community.
Rome and Italy constitute a natural infrastructure for hosting and supporting the organization of the most important global OH event. International collaboration, the sharing of experiences and good practices have always been a tradition of the Italian OH scientific community and in particular in its capital city, which has always been oriented towards combining science and action-oriented policy.

Congress Venue

Roma Convention Center is the main Congress Hub of the city and the key to success when organizing an event in Rome.

The EUR district was built in the Thirties to host the Universal Exhibition in Rome, and today it has become a business district that keeps welcoming professionals and international guests from all over the world.

Palazzo dei Congressi and La Nuvola were both planned and executed to contain and display the most important events held in Rome, such conferences and conventions, providing organisers with every logistical detail that has been carefully devised to optimise time and effort.

The Convention Centre is in a convenient location, 15 minutes away from the historical center of Rome and 15 minutes away from the city airports, and well connected by an efficient public transport network (metro station just 1 minute walk).

La Nuvola is one of the most iconic buildings in the entire City of Rome.

This visionary building by Massimiliano Fuksas was inaugurated in 2016. Since then, it has been acknowledged worldwide as a fine example of contemporary aesthetics, characterized by eco-friendly materials and innovative technological solutions.

It presents a floor area of nearly 26,000 sqm and 8,000 seats, distributed over three floors:
  • Level Meeting Halls: 9,000 sqm of modular space with 30 meeting rooms of all sizes, a plenary room with 5.000 seats;
  • Level Forum: 7,300 sqm dedicated to exhibitions, gala dinners or product display;
  • Level Auditorium: 1.800 seats (1.200/Stalls and 600/Gallery); three external Foyers, one of 1,500 sqm and two of 500 sqm each.
