Dr. Sintayehu Daba Wami is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Faculty
of Health at York University and a Research Fellow at the
Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research, Canada. He
holds a PhD in Rehabilitation Science from Queen's University,
Canada. His research focuses on developing, implementing, and
evaluating data-driven, evidence-informed interventions to
improve return-to-work outcomes, prevent work disability, and
strengthen occupational health systems for workers with
musculoskeletal disorders and other work-related injuries. Dr.
Wami has expertise in qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods,
and evidence synthesis research. He has led and collaborated on
multidisciplinary research projects and has published more than
35 peer-reviewed scientific articles. He previously served as a
faculty member in the Department of Environmental and
Occupational Health at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia. He
also served as an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Public Health
and as a reviewer for several international peer-reviewed
journals.
