Dr Goitsemang Keretetse is a Lecturer in Exposure Science at the
School of Public Health, University of the Witwatersrand (Wits),
South Africa. She holds a PhD in Public Health from Wits, and an
MSc in Occupational Hygiene from North-West University. She is a
registered Occupational Hygienist with the Southern African
Institute of Occupational Hygiene (SAIOH) and serves on the
SAIOH Council and Professional Certification Committee.
Dr Keretetse has over 18 years of professional and academic
experience in occupational hygiene across various industries,
including mining, foundries, steel manufacturing, petrochemical and
power generation sectors. Her research interests include
occupational exposure assessment, exposure pathway analysis,
human health risk assessment and exposure control strategies. She
teaches and supervises postgraduate students in exposure science
and occupational health and contributes to professional
development and certification initiatives within occupational
hygiene. Her work also includes research on occupational and
environmental exposures in occupational and nonoccupational
settings.
