Dr. Arkaprabha Sau is Deputy Director (Medical) at the Regional Labour Institute, Kolkata (DGFASLI, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India). A Central Service officer since 2018.
With over a decade of experience in General Medicine, Occupational Health, Public Health, and Biomedical Research, he holds an MBBS and MD (Gold Medalist), along with postgraduate qualifications in Public Health, Geriatric Medicine, and Diabetes Management. He also earned his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), focusing on AI/ML applications in healthcare.
Widely recognized for his work in AI-driven biomedical research, he has received awards from ICMR, Population Council, IAPSM, IPHA, and others, and has authored over 30 peer-reviewed articles published in High Impact Journals and co-authored medical and computer science book chapters and textbooks. He serves on editorial boards of reputed journals, including the prestigious PLOS ONE, and has been an invited speaker at premier institutes in India and abroad.
