Moving towards sustainability: Transition to digital membership certificates

In alignment with our commitment to sustainability, ICOH is pleased to announce a significant change in the production of membership cards.

As announced at the ICOH2024 Congress in Marrakesh, we have decided to replace physical membership cards with digital membership certificates to reduce our carbon footprint and eliminate plastic waste.

ICOH members in good standing can download their digital membership certificate from the Private Area of the ICOH website.

Members can now store their digital membership certificate on any device, ensuring convenient access whenever needed.

This shift will not only minimize the environmental impact associated with CO2 emissions but also enables us to reallocate resources to other valuable initiatives for our members.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the ICOH webinar series, covering a wide range of current topics in occupational health. ICOH members in good standing will have free access to the ICOH webinars as an additional benefit included in their ICOH membership. Non-ICOH members will be charged a small fee for participation.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Prof. Jean-François Caillard.

Prof. Caillard was professor in occupational medicine at the University of Rouen, France from 1979 to 2017, year of his retirement. His charisma and passionate commitment in issues related to health and social development earned him recognition at national and international level. He served as ICOH Board member from 1987 to 1990. In 1990 he was ICOH Vice-President in charge of the Scientific Committees. At the end of the ICOH Congress held in Nice, France, in 1993 he became the new elected President and served for two triennia (until 2000). He played a key role in the drafting and publishing of the ICOH Code of Ethics for Occupational Health Professionals...

ICOH 2024 Congress proceedings now available online

Prof. Seong-Kyu Kang (ICOH President), Dr. Diana Gagliardi (ICOH Secretary General) and Dr. Jukka Takala (ICOH Past President) are representing ICOH at the 112th Session of the ILO’s International Labour Conference taking place from 3 June to 14 June 2024 in Geneva.

The results of the elections for Officers and Members of the Board for the triennium 2024-2027 are now available.

The 34^th International Congress on Occupational Health held in Marrakesh, Morocco, adopted the ICOH Marrakesh Declaration on Occupational Health on Friday May 3^rd, 2024. The Declaration expressed the commitment of ICOH to take action for the development of occupational health, wellbeing, work ability and decent work and life for all workers of the world, in collaboration with other relevant international actors. The statement was signed by Dr. Abdeljalil El Kholti, President of the ICOH2024 Congress and Prof. Seong-Kyu Kang, President of ICOH.

ICOH2024 Congress hosted a Student Poster Competition accessible to students with an abstract accepted. The winners were recognized at the Congress Closing Ceremony on May 3, 2024. A monetary prize and waved registration to ICOH for the triennium 2024-2026 was offered to the top 3 places. In addition, waved registration to ICOH for the triennium 2024-2026 was offered to the students ranked between fourth and eighth place.
