Prof. Jean-François Caillard passed away
September 24, 2024It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Prof. Jean-François Caillard.
Prof. Caillard was professor in occupational medicine at the University of Rouen, France from 1979 to 2017, year of his retirement. His charisma and passionate commitment in issues related to health and social development earned him recognition at national and international level. He served as ICOH Board member from 1987 to 1990. In 1990 he was ICOH Vice-President in charge of the Scientific Committees. At the end of the ICOH Congress held in Nice, France, in 1993 he became the new elected President and served for two triennia (until 2000). ICOH Marrakesh Declaration on Occupational Health
The 34th International Congress on Occupational Health held in Marrakesh, Morocco, adopted the ICOH Marrakesh Declaration on Occupational Health on Friday May 3rd, 2024. The Declaration expressed the commitment of ICOH to take action for the development of occupational health, wellbeing, work ability and decent work and life for all workers of the world, in collaboration with other relevant international actors. The statement was signed by Dr. Abdeljalil El Kholti, President of the ICOH2024 Congress and Prof. Seong-Kyu Kang, President of ICOH.
