Emergency Preparedness and Response in Occupational Health

Our new scientific committee was created at the ICOH Congress in 2015. It aims at establishing a network for occupational practitioners interested in developing research, teaching & drills and practices in emergency response in workplaces. A close collaboration between emergency and occupational specialists will help to improve emergency care in workplaces and to reduce the gap between knowledge and action. The first planned activities are to write a position statement paper on emergency preparedness and response in occupational health, and to organize our first congress during the Triennium, and to improve the development of collaborations between occupational health and emergency medicine and the quality of emergency response in workplaces. Our first congress will take place in Vienna, Sunday, October 2, 2016 in a joint session with the European Society of Emergency Medicine (http://www.eusemcongress.org/en/)
