Toxicology of Metals

Focus of SCTM: This Scientific Committee focuses on the toxicological aspects of occupational and environmental exposure to metals, the health effects of prolonged exposure to low doses, absorption from multiple routes, and gene-environment interaction. Aim of the SC is to stimulate research on novel biomarkers of exposure, effect and susceptibility.

Publications: A relevant recent delivery of SCTM has been the coordination of a number of expert on metal toxicology, including members of this Scientific Committee, in the preparation of the new edition of the Handbook on the Toxicology of Metals.
