Membership Information

ICOH is the oldest scientific association in the field of occupational health, founded in 1906 in Milan, Italy. ICOH is a global network dedicated to advancing occupational health and safety worldwide and comprises both individual and collective members.

National research institutes and organizations can join as Sustaining Member, while professional societies or scientific associations can become Affiliate Members. Both Sustaining and Affiliate Members may nominate a representative who meets the criteria for full membership and enjoys all the benefits of an individual member.

They are represented in the General Assembly, may participate in up to three of ICOH's 37 Scientific Committees, and can submit materials for publication in the ICOH Newsletter.

ICOH's individual members represent a broad professional community, including medical doctors, occupational hygienists, occupational health nurses, safety engineers, psychologists, chemists, physicists, ergonomists, statisticians, epidemiologists, social scientists and physiotherapists. These experts serve as professionals in institutions such as universities, governmental bodies, research institutes and industries, contributing to a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach in the field of occupational health.

As part of this adjustment, members joining ICOH in 2025 will pay two-thirds of the total amount, instead for 2026 will be one-third of the membership fees.
