This event builds on the first joint conference organized in Barcelona by ICOH and Women in Global Health, which placed health workers at the center of the global agenda.

The Conference is structured around two complementary days. The first day will focus on the major challenges facing health systems in relation to their workforce: shortages and maldistribution of health workers, unsafe and precarious working conditions, gender and generational inequalities, and the urgent need to integrate occupational health into global health and universal health coverage policies. The second day will highlight scientific evidence and data on the health workforce, addressing leadership, mental health, generational change, and other key dimensions for the sustainability of health systems.

The Global Occupational Health Summit is an international forum that will bring together leading experts, researchers, professionals, and organizations to discuss the future of Occupational Health in a rapidly changing world of work. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the Summit will promote scientific exchange, explore emerging trends, and foster collaborative solutions to strengthen the prevention of occupational diseases and the protection of workers' health.

The Summit will focus on four strategic pillars:
  • Emerging occupational risks and new workplace exposures.
  • Emerging and high-impact occupational diseases.
  • Predictive models and Artificial Intelligence applied to Occupational Safety and Health.

The outcomes of these discussions will be consolidated into an International Consensus Document on the future of Occupational Health.
