Paul T.J. Scheepers obtained his Master of Science at
Wageningen University in 1988 in the field or
environmental sciences (cum laude). After his
graduation he worked for a year as an occupational
hygiene consultant. In 1989 started the work on his PhD
thesis at the department of Toxicology of the Radboud
University Nijmegen. In 1994 he was appointed assistant
professor in toxicology at the Department of
Toxicology-Pharmacology at the Radboud University
Nijmegen. He coordinated several EU projects on
biological monitoring. In 1998 he started the workgroup
“Risk evaluation and molecular epidemiology” at the
Department for Health Evidence and he founded the
“Research Laboratory Molecular Epidemiology (RLME)”. He
initiated “Human Health Risk Assessment” as a new major
subjects in the educational programme of Biomedical
Sciences. In 2007 he was also appointed associate
professor in the field of risk assessment and molecular
epidemiology at the Radboud University Medical Center
(Radboudumc).
