Dr. Shrinivas Shanbhag is a medical graduate from The Grant
Medical College, Mumbai and has the Diploma in Industrial
Medicine from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Mumbai.
After working as a lecturer at The Grant Medical College, he
worked with The ESIS Hospitals in Mumbai and later joined Bharat
Petroleum Corporation Limited, Mumbai Refinery where he headed
the medical services from 1982 to 1994. He joined Reliance
Industries Limited as a Corporate Medical Advisor and has worked
with them for 21 years. Besides being responsible for the Health
Care Activities at Reliance, he was also in charge of the
Occupational Health Service for the Group. He is presently working
in the Expert Group advising the Chairman. He is the Past President
of the IAOH. He has received Honorary FFOM from Royal College
of Physicians, London and the President’s Medal from AIHA.
