Since 2015 I am the Associate Director of the Cesare
Maltoni Cancer Research Center (CMCRC) of the Ramazzini
Institute. My activities include the design and
development of animal bioassays, epidemiological
studies and systematic reviews on environmental and
occupational toxicants and carcinogens. We are
currently investigating the experimental effects of
non-ionizing radiation (radiofrequency and extremely
low frequencies) and glyphosate based herbicides. We
are also investigating the role of early molecular
biomarkers, such as aneuploidy, in carcinogenesis and
reproductive toxicity. Working together with several
scientists of the Cochrane Collaboration, GRADE and
other institutions around the world, including the WHO,
ILO and NIEHS, I am currently involved in different
projects on evidence based methodology and systematic
reviews in occupational and environmental health. We
also studied the effects of Conflict of Interest (COI)
on the outcomes and risk of bias of the studies.
