Alberto Modenese is an occupational physician, Professor of Occupational Medicine and
Director of the Residency Program in Occupational Medicine at the University of Modena
and Reggio Emilia (Modena, Italy). He got a post graduate specialization degree in
Occupational Medicine in 2014, and a Ph.D. in “Clinical and Experimental Medicine” in
2017. He is Chair of the ICOH Scientific Committee “Radiation and Work”. and he is one of
the Commissioners of the International Commission on Non Ionizing Radiation Protection
(ICNIRP) since 2024.
His main area of research is the studying of preventive measures, exposure evaluation
methods and health effects related to Non-Ionizing Radiation (NIR) exposure in workers.
