Medical degree and specialization in Occupational
Medicine (OM) and in Medical Toxicology (MT), Padua
University, Italy. MSc and PhD in Toxicology, Surrey
University, U.K. Currently full professor/director of
the School of Specialization in OM, University
Federico II Medical School, Naples, Italy. Invited
lecturer/speaker at several national/international
courses/universities and over 100 conferences.
Research activity includes: clinical and experimental
studies on the health effects, biomonitoring, and
mechanisms of toxicity of industrial/environmental
chemicals, education, training and ethics in OM, and
coordination of several projects, including a number
of large scale EC projects. About 300 publications
(nearly 80% as the first/last/only author) and more
than 15 national/international
proceedings/books/special issues, with total I.F. of
about 250, 750 citations, and HI of 13. Chair/Editor
of several international scientific meetings,
including the ISBM series.
Current-chair/past-secretary of ICOH/SCOT. Board
member/referee of several peer-review journals.
Consultant to FAO, WHO, EC and member/board member of
various international scientific societies.
