I am working with the Directorate of Occupational Safety & Health Services,
currently as an Assistant Director- OSH.
My trajectory in the Department began with working in the field
conducting inspections in workplaces to ensure compliance with the
legal provisions, accident investigation, training and sensitization of
workers in formal and informal sectors, conducting hygiene
surveys, processing of compensation claims for injured workers ,
approval of architectural plans for commercial buildings and
analysis of Audit reports received from Occupational Safety &
Health Advisers.
My most immediate former role was working in the Safety Division
which takes care of the safety of all Plants in different workplaces
such as lifting equipment, lifts & hoist, pressure vessels including
boilers, air receivers and cylinders of compressed gases and liquids.
Currently, I'm consulting on OSH for a World Bank-funded project
in the Ministry of Education.
