Peter Boogaard is Professor of Environmental Health at the Division of Toxicology of
Wageningen
University (Netherlands).
He holds Doctoral degrees (cum laude) in Pharmacy, in Analytical Chemistry, and a PhD in
Toxicology. He’s Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology and European Registered
Toxicologist.
He chairs the toxicology group of CONCAWE, is member of the Scientific Committee of
ECETOC, and involved in other tripartite committees on chemical safety, such as ILSI-HESI.
and CEFIC’s Long-range Research Initiative.
He’s a member of the Dutch Health Council, serving amongst others on the Dutch Expert
Committee on Occupational Standards and the Committee for Evaluation of Carcinogenic
Substances. For the European Commision he serves as Scientific Advisor on Risk
Assessment and as member of the Scientific Committee on Occupational Exposure Limits.
