Funmilayo Juliana AFOLABI is a lecturer/researcher at the
Institute For Entrepreneurship and Development Studies
(IFEDS), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Dr. Afolabi has a
rich academic background with competencies in the field of
Occupational Health and Safety. Her research focus is on the
informal sector of Nigeria’s economy. This is because she is
convinced that entrepreneurs must be healthy to be productive
and make maximum profit. She is a recipient of the University
Administration Support Program (UASP) Fellowship 2022. Dr.
Afolabi is an erudite and prolific scholar with research
publications in reputable national and international journals.
She also serves as a reviewer for many international journals.
Dr. Afolabi belongs to many professional bodies such as the
International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH),
Occupational Safety and Health Africa (OSHAfrica), the World
Safety Organization (WSO), and the International Sociological
Association (ISA). She is a fellow of SafERR Global Institute
(SGI).
