Message from the President

Dear ICOH Colleagues,

The major progress reported at ICOH 2009, our triennial congress held in Cape Town, was greatly encouraging. Progress was seen in prevention strategies responding to diversifying workplace needs, risk assessment methods, and various programmes for bridging gaps.
I am very grateful to all the ICOH members for showing their confidence in ICOH′s work. This confidence was clear in the activities reported at the congress and the elections held this year. The new Board members and the Officers who met in Cape Town agreed to further develop ICOH activities and its network towards our common aim of enhancing occupational health research and practice worldwide. In order to achieve this, we need to further reinforce the strengths we have and improve our joint action. Read more

Seoul, Korea elected as venue of the 31st ICOH International Congress

ICOH′s 31st International Congress will be held in 2015 in Seoul, Korea as a result of the vote held in Cape Town in conjunction to the 29th ICOH Congress.

New guidelines for ICOH scientific committees and good association practice

On March 22nd 2009, ICOH Board Members adopted two new important guidelines presented during the 1st Board Meeting held in Cape Town. The New Guidelines for ICOH Scientific Committees respond to new emerged needs of ICOH SCs, backbones of ICOH activities. They are the results of a long reviewing process lead by ICOH Past Vice President, Dr. Marilyn Fingerhut. Read more
