1993 - Nice

26/09 - 1/10/1993

24th International Congress of the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH)

The Nice Congress was attended by a large number of participants where the number of poster presentations exceeded the traditional oral presentations and moreover there were also continuous video presentations in special rooms. The Commission holds its two meetings on 26/09 and 1/10. A special role is played in Nice by topical conferences opening each day in plenary session to mark unitary moments within occupational health, which is a field becoming increasingly difficult and likely to be split in specialized areas.

Structure of ICOH

The triennium between the Montreal and the Nice Congress is a very active one for the Commission.
In 1991 ICOH holds its first international seminar on: "Occupational Health for Developing Countries" in Singapore; The code of Ethics, whose implementation was decided in Sidney, is published in 1992.
In 1996 in Milan an International Network for the History of Occupational and Environmental Prevention is established in Milan.
