10th international Congress of the "Commission Internationale Permanente pour la Médecine du Travail"
Prof. Mazel, Vice-president in 1948, is elected President of the Commission. The Commission Constitution is slightly revised.
Teaching of Occupational Health
In Lisbon the participants recalling a position of the joint WHO and ILO Commission in 1950 in Geneva that had expressed the wish «qu’un enseignement général concernant l’object et la valeur sociale de la Médecine du Travail soit dispensé … à ceux qui seront appelés à prêter leur assistance à son développement et à ceux qui en bénéficient…» unanimously vote that a teaching on this subject should be delivered in the schools preparing top managers in industry, trade and administration.
